Sheryl Schenkman is a Bay Area native growing up in the Cupertino and Morgan Hill areas. She is an alumni of both Cupertino High School and Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill. Sheryl’s history affords her an interesting perspective on the many changes in Silicon Valley. “I remember when Valco and HP were orchards as far as you could see and now look at how much the area has grown. I used to ride my horse to the library and now our little part of the world has International attention with every advance in technology beginning where I grew up!” This perspective gives Sheryl valuable knowledge and insight which she is happy to share with her buyers and sellers. “Knowledge is power, and with location being key when purchasing a home, I use my background knowledge to be the best possible resource to my clients”, states Schenkman.
Sheryl is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Biological Science and Chemistry. Her diverse interests also led her to study Spanish at the collegiate level in Guadalajara, Mexico 'La Universided Autonoma de Guadalajara'. She and her husband Larry share this well rounded approach to education with their two young daughters, Ann and Alicia. Born pre-maturely, Sheryl and Larry spent the first three years of their daughters’ lives addressing various medical issues, as the twins were born at just 26 weeks. Now happy and healthy Ann and Alicia attend elementary school in Morgan Hill and when done with school work they enjoy activities in swimming and horseback riding…”It’s a very full life”, Sheryl happily announces. When there is a quiet moment in the schedule, Sheryl and Larry also enjoy swing dancing or going bike riding with their daughters.
Prior to joining the team at Coldwell Banker, Sheryl worked in the Insurance and Technology industries. Working in both operations and customer service management, Sheryl developed skills that would ensure that her client’s expectations were met. These skills have proven equally valuable as she navigates today’s Real Estate market for her clients. “Having seen what the Bay Area was years ago, and what it has become, I run my business from the point of view, that anything is possible…Homeownership is a dream that I get to help people achieve everyday!”
